Remigio Ceballos: Crime rates have fallen by 23.5% so far in 2024

So far in 2024, the Public Security Agencies and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) have achieved a 23.5% reduction in crime rates in the country, as reported by the Sectorial Vice President for Citizen Security and Peace, AJ. Remigio Ceballos Ichaso.

During a press conference, held this Friday, he explained that through the Great Peace Quadrants Mission, the country has made progress in the direct and permanent fight against crime, in order to guarantee peace, tranquility and the protection of the people.

Similarly, according to a press release from the Interior, Justice and Peace portfolio, Ceballos Ichaso highlighted that in terms of the active fight against drugs, “the seizure of 25 tons of drugs has been overcome, through eight different operations, exceeding the number of seizures by more than 5% compared to the previous year.”

Finally, Ceballos Ichaso, stressed that Venezuela is making satisfactory progress in international cooperation, for the capture of people in conflict with the law, working directly and in coordination with Interpol and other organizations in the fight against organized crime.
