Representatives of the Bolivarian Government have spoken out on social network X to offer words of solidarity to the family and friends of Colombian congresswoman Piedad Córdoba, who died this Saturday afternoon, January 20 in Medellín.

“Piedad Córdoba changes her landscape, a courageous woman who never bowed to the Colombian oligarchy or to those who tried to martyr her. For his part, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil commented: “We deeply regret the death of the Senator of the Republic of Colombia Piedad Córdoba. A tireless fighter for peace in Colombia, the well-being of her people and Latin American unity. Venezuela will always remember this dear friend.”

Meanwhile, Adán Chávez said: “We stand in solidarity with the brother people of Colombia for the physical loss of Piedad Córdoba, a great woman fighter and defender of human rights, a dear friend of the Bolivarian Revolution. Condolences to his family and friend @s.”
