During the Venezuelan Countryside Sovereignty Fair, in the parish of El Valle, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted Venezuela's achievements in food security and sovereignty, recognized by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
“Venezuela leads indicators such as breastfeeding and has managed to reduce the nutritional deficit of children thanks to special feeding programs,” he emphasized.
He stressed that these advances are the direct result of the policies promoted by President Nicolás Maduro to strengthen the national industry and guarantee access to proteins and essential products produced in the country.
“We are healing the social wounds left by the criminal blockade, demonstrating that Venezuela produces, resists and advances,” he said.
Rodríguez reiterated that these food fairs are part of a comprehensive strategy to address the consequences of the blockade and guarantee the well-being of the Venezuelan people.
