The Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, said that the sanctions against the US oil company Chevron were requested by Venezuelan extremism.

“Who asked for it? A decadent, stateless and anti-nationalist opposition. María Corina Machado celebrated this decision of the United States Government (...) she is a perverse criminal and cowardly who does not show her face, who only comes out to congratulate when harm is done to the Venezuelan people,” Rodríguez said during a press conference on the Carnavales Seguros 2025 device.

I denounce that these actions were planned between Machado and Marco Rubio.

“This impact that this action is going to have, they think it is against Venezuela, but here is an invincible people destined for happiness and development, they believe that they are going to put a stop to Venezuela when in these 10 years we have given historic lessons in the defense of the country,” he emphasized.

He assured that Machado and Rubio are enemies of Venezuela but that, like everyone who has confronted the country, they are destined to fail.

“A coward who is Machado when we tell her to show her face she hides but to applaud if she comes out, she thinks she is hurting Venezuela, if they close one door for us we will open a thousand more,” he stressed.

He stressed that President Nicolás Maduro activated the Absolute Productive Independence Plan in the face of sanctions against Chevron.

“To ensure that the country's hydrocarbon activity and economic growth do not stop. This is an epic battle in defense of our resources. Are we going to give it away? No! The one who intends to give away the Essequibo is Machado; Guiana Esequiba is from Venezuela, don't dare they, here is a civic-military union in defense of their territory,” he said.
