The Bolivarian Government of Venezuela strongly condemns the inhumane and arbitrary actions carried out against Venezuelan citizens abroad, particularly in the United States, who were deported to El Salvador and kidnapped there.

“Right now they are kidnapping Venezuelans, they are detaining them, they are kidnapping them and they are expelling them from the United States of America without meeting any of the requirements, with any of the prerogatives,” said Jorge Rodríguez, designated Head of Dialogues and Peace of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela during a press conference.

Rodríguez stressed that these actions include confiscation of personal property and flagrant violations of human rights, contrary to international conventions on migrants' rights and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

“The Venezuelans who have been victims of these migratory policies are not criminals or terrorists. They are workers, good men and women, who sought alternatives to the consequences of the economic blockade and the economic war imposed on our people,” said Rodríguez.

He assured that from Venezuela, the international community is called upon to respect the dignity and rights of Venezuelan migrants who are kidnapped by the Government of Nakib Bukele.

“We will resort to legal strategies so that Venezuelans are returned to their homeland, returned to their homes and returned to their homes with the absolute protection and respect of their human rights, the rights they have as human beings and the rights they have as good people, women and men,” he said.
