The head of the VEN25+ Campaign Command, Jorge Rodríguez, assured that Venezuela has “nothing” to talk to the Government of Guyana to hold the elections on May 25.
In that regard, he explained that after the consultative referendum and the Guiana Essequiba Act, the State is obliged to call elections in that territory.
“We are profoundly happy because it is a gigantic step in this process of recovering our territory,” he said, while noting that “we are absolutely sure that every vote of May 25 will be a vote against extremism, it will be a vote against those who asked for sanctions, it will be a vote against those who applaud the kidnapping of Venezuelans in El Salvador, who brutally applaud in an infamous way that a two-year-old girl has been separated from the arms of her mother and now this one who knows where kidnapped in who knows what space in the United States of America”.
He also said that in the Charter of the Rights of the Child approved by the United Nations, this girl has the right to have her well-being, education, health and all the rights enshrined for children in the Universal Declaration of the Rights of the Child defended.”
