Judoka Rosalvick Aguilar won the gold medal in the -44 kg category, the first for Venezuela in the IV South American Youth Games Panama 2026.
Aguilar won the gold one after beating the Brazilian Laiane Timbira in the final, who had to settle for the silver one, while the bronze one went to the Panamanian Danna de León and the Uruguayan Luisana Ramírez.
Along the way, Aguilar left Ecuadorian Daniela Rodríguez behind in the semifinals and Ramírez in the quarterfinals.
