The Russian Government's advisor for Naval Affairs, Nikolai Patrushev, assured that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and Western special services were involved in planning the Ukrainian attack on the Russian region of Kursk.

Patrushev in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper said that “it was the West that put the criminal junta at the head of Ukraine, the NATO countries pumped Kiev with weapons, military instructors, constantly providing intelligence and monitoring the actions of the neo-Nazis.

The operation in the Kursk region was also planned with the participation of NATO and Western special services”

In this regard, he added that the statements of the American leaders about “their non-involvement in the crimes of Kiev in the Kursk region do not correspond to reality.”
