Military cooperation between Russia and China is progressing, with the launch of the naval exercise 'Joint Sea-2025' in the Sea of Japan, amid growing tensions with the United States (US).
The exercise, which began this Sunday and will last three days, involves Chinese and Russian warships carrying out maritime combat drills, anti-submarine operations and missile defense exercises.
Joint Sea-2025 consists of three phases: concentration of forces, joint planning and joint exercises. It is carried out in waters and airspace in eastern Russia, and includes weapons training to validate the results of the previous phase of joint planning, with the objective of strengthening capacities for the joint protection of strategic maritime routes and the fight against security threats in the Western Pacific.
