Russia called on India and Pakistan to exercise restraint in the conflict

The Russian Federation, through the spokeswoman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, called on India and Pakistan to exercise restraint in the conflict involving both parties, in order to avoid further deterioration of the situation in the region.
The Kremlin spokeswoman said that Russia is deeply concerned about the escalation of the military confrontation between India and Pakistan following the terrorist attack near Pahalgam.
“Russia strongly condemns acts of terrorism, opposes any manifestation of such acts and stresses the need to unite the efforts of the entire international community to effectively combat this evil,” Zakharova said.
