Russia issued a strong warning to the United States against any intervention against Iran

This Thursday, amid the growing risk of a regional war in the Middle East, the Russian Foreign Ministry issued a firm warning to the United States (USA) against any attempt at military intervention in the conflict between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel.

“We would like to warn Washington in particular against any military intervention in this situation, which would constitute an extremely dangerous step with truly unpredictable negative consequences,” said the spokeswoman for the Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

The Kremlin's message comes after a telephone conversation between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, who condemned the Israeli attacks on Tehran and called for an immediate diplomatic solution.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, publicly dismissed Putin's offer to mediate the conflict, and further tightened his militarist rhetoric.

“The Third World War is not about to begin. It has already started,” said the president at a political event in Texas, before a crowd mobilized both for and against his policies.

Trump, reiterated that he will only accept a “complete victory” over Iran. He also conditioned any dialogue on the total nuclear disarmament of Tehran, stating that there will be no other type of negotiation.
