The Russian Federation rejected attempts by England and France to question data provided by the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) that reveal their plans to transfer nuclear weapons to Ukraine.
The spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, at a press conference, within the framework of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) stressed that “we cannot accept the attempts of London and Paris - by the way, they have issued a formal response through diplomatic channels - to deny the authenticity of this information”.
“The above-mentioned suspects have the capacity, the incentive and the means to commit the indicated crime under international law,” said the Russian diplomat.
He also stated that, of course, they should be considered at the next Review Conference of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, whose next review meeting will be held soon.
