The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) reported that it repelled through Russian border guards an armed provocation by Ukrainian forces perpetrated this Tuesday morning on the border with the province of Kursk.

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine committed an armed provocation in an area of the state border of the Russian Federation in the province of Kursk,” details a statement quoted by Russia Today (RT).

Recently, Ukrainians tried to penetrate the territory of the province, said the local interim governor, Alexei Smirnov.

As a result of the attacks on border towns, one person lost his life, while 13 were injured, including four children.
