This Thursday, the Russian Federation company Gazprom reported that new attacks on the infrastructure that guarantees export supplies through the TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipelines that go to Türkiye were repelled.
“New attacks against Gazprom's export infrastructure facilities. During the period from March 17 to 19, there was an escalation of attacks against critically important infrastructure facilities that guarantee gas export supplies through the TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipelines,” according to statements quoted by the TASS news agency.
According to information from the media, attempts were made to attack 22, 3 and one drone against the Russkaya, Kazachia and Beregovaya compressor stations, respectively.
The Russian energy giant, a world leader in natural gas production, is currently facing a severe financial and operational crisis with millions of dollars in losses and the loss of European markets. Faced with the reduction in its production and sales, the company plans to cut 40% of the staff at its headquarters in St. Petersburg.
