The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova, said this Thursday that the president, Vladimir Putin, reiterated on numerous occasions Moscow's commitment to the negotiation process regarding the Ukrainian conflict, considering diplomacy as a real tool for resolving it.
The diplomat specified that “since the Kiev regime is not ready for it”, Russia “will achieve the objectives of the special operation by military means, solving tasks on the ground, as is currently happening”.
He also stressed that so far this year, three rounds of negotiations have been held between teams from the United States (USA), Russia and Ukraine in an attempt to find a political solution to the crisis.
Russia seeks to achieve the disarmament and denazification of Ukraine. The Donetsk and Lugansk regions became independent from Ukraine in 2014 and joined the Federation in September 2022 after holding referendums.
