This Wednesday, the spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation stated that the results achieved during the second round of negotiations between Moscow and Kiev held on Monday in Istanbul “have upset” Ukrainian leaders, especially Vladimir Zelensky, who insulted Russian representatives.
The spokeswoman at a press conference indicated that these statements show that the results of the dialogue “clearly irritated someone” in Kiev. “The tone was set by Zelensky and offensive and simply rude phrases addressed to the Russian delegation were allowed,” said Zakharova, noting that the leader of the Ukrainian regime has never been satisfied with the team of the Eurasian country.
“This time he became hysterical again with the Russian delegation, and all this was mixed with threats of carrying out new terrorist attacks on Russian territory,” he said, adding that Moscow's “firm and constructive” position in this regard left the head of Zelensky's Office, Andrei Yermak, “out of place”, who began to urge the imposition of new sanctions against Russia and accusing it of doing everything possible to hinder the peace process.
