Ruta Escolar del Joropo will reach schools in 19 parishes in Caracas

These activities are carried out as part of the celebration of the eleventh anniversary of the declaration of Joropo as an Asset of Cultural Interest of the Nation

The Joropo School Route will take place between March 17 and 18 in institutions in 19 parishes in Caracas, with the purpose of bringing the history and richness of this musical and dance genre to children and young people in the capital city.

In this sense, cultivators, dancers and dancers, authentic guardians of the Venezuelan cultural heritage, will share their knowledge and experiences through workshops and presentations, transmitting the passion and feeling contained in the joropo.

Antonio Ornes (Altagracia), Escuela Eulalia Ramos Sánchez (Antimano), E.B. Manuel Fombona Pachano (San Agustín), U.E. Antonio Ornes (Altagracia), Escuela Eulalia Ramos Sánchez (Antimano), E.B. Manuel Fombona Pachano (San Agustín) Caricuao), U.E.D. Curucay (Macarao), U.E.N. Luz María Tosta (January 23), U.E.D. Antonio R. Vaamonde (The Shepherdess), E.B.N. José Martí (El Recreo), U.E. Mari Isabel Márquez de Mejías (Car), E.B.N.B. Neighborhood Mission (La Vega), CEIPS Inosito School (San Bernardino), José Ramón Camejo School (La Candelaria), National Socialist El Arañero de Sabaneta (Tiuna City), U.E.D. Abigail González (El Valle) and U.E.N. 24 de Julio School (Sucre).

These activities are carried out as part of the celebration of the eleventh anniversary of the declaration of Joropo as an Asset of Cultural Interest of the Nation. In addition, it is part of the actions promoted by vertex number three of the Great Mission Viva Venezuela My Beloved Homeland: Education for Cultures, specifically in the initiative “Culture Goes to School”.
