Safe Holy Week operation! Authorities activate 43 comprehensive care points for seasonal workers in Zulia

The Safe Holy Week Operation 2026 activated 43 comprehensive care points in the state of Zulia with 22 ambulances and 14 head hospitals, for the timely care of seasonal workers during the Holy Week holidays.

The health operation began last Palm Sunday and will intensify this Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, at the points designated by the Unified Command, the Ministry of People's Power for Health and the state's Ministry of Health.

According to a note released by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), coordination is under the guidelines of the Single Health Authority, Luz Mely Caldera, who explained that necessary medications and medical supplies were supplied to ambulances and hospital centers were reinforced.

He explained that the points are equipped with ambulances, medical personnel and essential supplies, with direct coordination with all healthcare centers in the region. Primary care hospitals are ready and equipped to provide timely care in case of traffic emergencies.

The coordinator of the Immediate Response Unit of VEN 911 in Zulia, Lucio Chavarrí, emphasized the importance of strengthening the ambulance network, stressing that the available equipment will make it possible to deal with emergencies quickly and efficiently in the different municipalities of the entity.

The Single Health Authority in Zulia, Luz Mely Caldera, called on the people of Zulia and visitors to enjoy this Holy Week in peace, with responsibility and conscience, especially in spas and recreational spaces, urging parents and representatives to keep special vigilance over children and adolescents.

Among the points, located in strategic areas with a large influx of vehicles and tourists, are the Ana María Campos Monumental Park, the Lake Vereda, the Bridge over Lake GJ Rafael Urdaneta, the Chiquinquirá Basilica, the Hugo Chávez Lake Terminal in Maracaibo, the Cacique Nigale Lake Terminal on the San Carlos Peninsula, the San Carlos Peninsula beach in the Insular Padilla municipality. Balneario Caimare Chico, in Guajira and the rest of the 12 beaches suitable for the season.
