SAIME enables a new service: Passport withdrawal for immediate family members in Caracas

The Administrative Service for Identification, Migration and Aliens (SAIME) announced the establishment of a new service to facilitate the process of withdrawing passports, through immediate family members.
On its social network Instagram, SAIME explained that this modality is available only at the Simón Bolívar office, located on Baralt Avenue, in Caracas.
They also highlighted that the travel document will be delivered within 72 business hours after processing the request. They also indicated that the withdrawal of the same must be done by a person who has a verifiable direct family link.
In this regard, the identification institution pointed out that people can be the father, mother, uncles, grandparents, spouses or adult children.
He also listed the mandatory requirements to be presented at the time of withdrawing the passport:
Authorization Form: Issued directly by the SAIME system.
Payment of the Fee: The administrative fee corresponding to the service must be canceled.
Identity Document: Documents that validate the parentage and identity of the authorized person.
The SAIME noted that the user must ensure that they download and complete the form correctly from the official portal before their family members go to the office.
It highlights that this measure seeks to decongest pending procedures and offer legal alternatives to citizens, emphasizing that compliance with requirements and identity verification are mandatory steps to ensure document security.
