The Mexican team Pachuca, where the Venezuelan Salomón Rondón plays, debuted in the 2024 Leagues Cup with a win against New York Red Bull, after a tie and winning a 5-4 penalty shootout.

For Guillermo Almada's team, Salomón Rondón was in charge of putting the tie on the scoreboard and leaving the result 1-1 after regular time.
