San Fernando de Apure was brimming with joy and tradition in these Carnivals 2026

In an atmosphere of peace, harmony and deep popular fervor, the streets of San Fernando de Apure were dressed up to celebrate the “Carnival Cry 2026", which marked the formal beginning of the carnival festivities.
During the event, citizens enjoyed the creative and cultural display characteristic of the llanera region, according to a social media post by the Government of Apure.
The day was marked by a colorful parade that included approximately 18 troupes and 23 floats, which highlighted the benefits of the Apure state and covered the main avenues of San Fernando.
The governor of Apure State, Wilmer Rodríguez, accompanied the town during the tour, in addition to highlighting the calm atmosphere in which these festivities take place.
“We are happy, happy, happy; a people at peace. The people of Apurea and Venezuela want peace, and that is why today we are enjoying the start of carnivals in harmony,” he said.
For its part, the entity's sole tourism authority, Mariangel Ramírez, reported on the deployment of recreational activities in the main tourist spots in the state, stating that resorts such as El Gamero, Morichalote (Achaguas municipality), La Macanilla and El Playón are ready to receive seasonal workers.
