A large sandstorm hits the Gaza Strip, dramatically increasing the suffering of millions of people. This climatic phenomenon is in addition to the already precarious living conditions under the prolonged yoke of Israeli occupation.

The humanitarian situation in the Palestinian territory has further deteriorated with the arrival of this natural adversity. Thousands of families that were already struggling to survive now face an additional and critical challenge.

The onslaught of the storm hits the 1.9 million internally displaced persons in refugee camps particularly hard. These populations, already vulnerable and confined, have their precarious existence aggravated by the occupation policy.

Damaged infrastructure and scarce resources make it impossible to provide adequate protection against these inclemencies. The policy imposed by Israel intensifies the crisis, leaving the population with no means of escape or effective protection.
