With regard to recent opinions from Monitor País, the president of Hinterlaces, Oscar Schémel, stated that the extreme right is disconnected from the reality of the country and from what Venezuelans think in the face of their deep contempt for the popular sectors.
“They express a deep contempt for the
majority, for the popular sectors, whom they don't even try to interpret
and much less will they be able to lead,” he said during his speech on the Cable
to Earth program, in which he highlighted the inability of these sectors to govern the country.
“They won't be able to lead a country that they don't understand
and don't feel,” he said, noting that the discourse of the extreme right is outdated
and doesn't connect with the aspirations of the majority of the people.
On the subject of sanctions, he indicated
that in the latest polls, 81% of the population believes that those who
promote them should be tried for treason, since “sanctions affect us
equally.”
He stressed that opposition supporters are
segmented in terms of their opinion of the
extreme right's request for sanctions: “there are only 8% who say: 'I support them, but it affects us, and that is
the price for rescuing democracy and human rights', they have a double standard because it hurts
their quality of life, but they support sanctions and resolve dissonance by
blaming the national government; the ninis are more pragmatic, they expect answers, solutions and plans”.
On the other hand, he said that there is a positive
assessment of the administration of the President of the Republic, Nicolás
Maduro, since more than 80% “recognize that there is effort, perseverance and
perseverance, a presidential epic that is based on the solution.”
“Today the majority of Venezuelans are
betting on peace and security, on production. In the midst of the burden, the
majority are betting on union and investment. They believe that the feeling
that should be bet on Venezuela is that we help each other to face
adversities,” he said.
