From Monday, May 12 to June 13, book fairs will be held in all schools in the country, an initiative that is part of the school calendar and seeks to promote reading and writing, Minister Héctor Rodríguez said.
According to a press release from the Education portfolio, Rodríguez added that these fairs seek to “train truly free, autonomous and reflective citizens who contribute to the construction of a prosperous country.”
“I want to invite you to celebrate the 2025 Book Fair in all our educational institutions. We have designed an educational guide to support the development of this special project; we believe that it will be useful for them to follow it, as well as its annexes,” said Rodríguez.
The minister added that “this is a different book fair” in which in each course students and their teachers get involved and show the community the mastery of knowledge about language.
In this proposal, girls, boys and young people from early education to secondary education will participate, as well as the teachers of each school institution, he also said.
It should be noted that at the fairs there will be educational competitions in Mathematics and Science, story reading, as well as cultural activities.
