The “Dr. Arnoldo Gabaldón” Institute for Higher Studies, located in the state of Aragua, opened its doors to a group of young people from the Socio-productive Venezuela Heroica and Central communities of Maracay, who approached the study of entomology and the history of public health in Venezuela.
During the day, the young people enjoyed a projection on the life and legacy of Dr. Arnoldo Gabaldón, a prominent health worker whose work was crucial in the eradication of malaria in much of the country.
The young people, according to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology, explored various areas of the institute, including the historical library, where they were able to see public health furniture and books since 1936, as well as valuable documents such as the “scraps” of Dr. Gabaldón.
The tour also included the Situational Room, where data from the institute is managed, and the Entomological Museum, where participants observed a variety of insects.
