The José Elio Guilarte High School, located in the Ribero municipality of Sucre state, was the setting for the deployment of the territorialization plan of the National Scientific Semilleros Program, to serve students from the 1st to the 3rd year of secondary education.

According to a note from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), young people shared playful experiences in astronomy, robotics, health sciences, computing, ecosocialism, physics, mathematics, chemistry and microscopy.

This deployment, coordinated by the Ministries of Science and Technology and Education, includes two phases; the first consists of motivation in educational institutions and the second is due to specialized training, depending on the area selected by young people.

The municipal director of the Center for Development for Educational Quality, Elvimat Brito, stressed that “the training of these students in the scientific field is rewarding, because from here new technological and productive ideas will emerge to promote the development of our country”.
