As part of the Massification Plan of the National Scientific Seedbeds Program, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), through the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology of the state of Sucre (Fundacite Sucre), held a pedagogical and interactive day aimed at 110 students from the Luis Rowlinson Technical School of Visual Arts, located in the Santa Inés parish of the Sucre municipality.
The activity was aimed at students in the first, third and fifth year of high school, belonging to the Agroproductive Tourism District of Urban Services Historic Center, who participated in four learning stations designed to bring them closer to various areas of scientific knowledge. At the microscopy station, young people explored the cellular world by observing onion and pollen samples.
In addition, in the space dedicated to robotics, students learned about digital logic and operated robot prototypes. In the same way, the day included a fun chemistry station. The students measured the pH of everyday substances and observed scientific pyrotechnics experiments, as well as an area of physics focused on the study of gravity and the transmission of energy through a plasma ball.
The deployment, according to a press release, also had the technical and logistical support of 12 teachers, Fundacite staff, the Center for the Development of Educational Quality (CDCE) and the Infocentro team.
