Second phase of the Astronomy Olympics will include 1,521 students

The Minister for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez, announced the publication of the results corresponding to the second phase of the Venezuelan Astronomy Olympics 2026, in which a total of 1,521 students will participate.
“We are proud to announce that the results of the state phase of the 2nd Edition of the Venezuelan Astronomy Olympics 2026 are now available, an initiative that is consolidating itself as a space for meeting, learning and projection for the country's young scientific talent,” said Jiménez.
He stressed that this initiative forms the educational policies promoted by the Bolivarian Government, through the Ministry of Popular Power for Science and Technology and the Ministry of Popular Power for Education, to strengthen academic and scientific training from an early age.
The official results can be viewed through the portal of the office for Science and Technology, where the list of qualifiers for the next stage of the competition is available. Approximately 10,000 children and young people from all over the country participated in the state phase of the Second Edition of the Venezuelan Astronomy Olympiad.
