Sector Vice President Cabello announced the arrest of an Albanian man immersed in conspiracy plans against the elections

The sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, announced during a press conference the capture of a citizen of Albanian origin, linked to drug trafficking, who was part of a conspiracy that sought to prevent the elections of the coming May 25.

In this regard, he specified that after the investigations, it was confirmed that the arrested person is requested for the crime of drug trafficking, who also has weapons issued by Colombia .

Cabello added that, at the time of his capture, the foreigner showed resistance, which is why he was arrested by force, but with respect for his rights. He also assured that the reservation for the mercenary's stay in the country was paid from the United States.

In this regard, he indicated that the drug trafficking mafia in Ecuador is controlled by Albanians and clarified that “we have nothing against the nationals of that country, but it is a reality.”

He specified that the investigation is still under development and several raids are being carried out in the national territory, caused by information stolen from three Albanian cell phones; so he warned that “they want to generate violence and you (the extreme right) will have a strong response from the National Government”.

Finally, he called on the population to be on “maximum alert, maximum caution” and warned that “if they try something against Venezuela and against Venezuelans, they can't even imagine the answer.”
