In a decisive blow against energy mafias, and within the framework of the protection of public services, the security agencies of the Venezuelan State dismantled an illegal cryptoasset mining macro-installation located in the San Vicente Industrial Zone, in Maracay, Aragua state.

The action was carried out under the protection of Operation Hunter, strictly complying with the instructions issued by the President (E) of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, the entity's governance detailed a press release.

During the deployment, led by Deputy Energy Minister Vianney Rojas, the authorities retained a preliminary inventory of approximately 4,000 ASIC equipment (high-power digital mining machines), in addition to sophisticated industrial ventilation and cooling systems.

According to the technical report provided at the scene of the events, this clandestine infrastructure generated massive consumption of between 8 and 10 megawatts (MW). The authorities warned that the damage goes beyond high consumption, since the technical impact of these equipment generated severe instability that directly damaged the protection systems of the National Electricity System (SEN), thus damaging the service to Aragueño families.

“I want to tell the Aragueñas that we are making the necessary efforts to guarantee peace in our state,” said the deputy minister during the proceedings.

He noted that the success of the procedure was the result of painstaking intelligence work and the perfect articulation of a joint commission composed of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC) (main executing entity), Strategic Integral Defense Region (REDI Central), Integral Defense Operational Zone (ZODI Aragua), Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) and the Ministry of People's Power for Energy Electric.
