As part of the citizen security policies framed in
Vertex No. 1 of the Great Quadrants of Peace Mission, the National Service for Disarmament
(SENADES) has intensified its preventive deployment in several states of the country.
Through forums, interactive workshops and street activities, it
reaffirms its commitment to planting values, eradicating violence in children
and building safe school environments.
During this important national agenda, School
Patrol Day was highlighted, where SENADES participated in a
preventive deployment in Plaza Bolívar in San Juan de los Morros, Juan Germán
Roscio municipality, Guárico state; in coordination with the
Bolivarian National Police Corps (CPNB), and the Preventive Front.
In addition, the boys and girls of the school brigades took strategic
road points to make transporters and motorcyclists aware of
respect for traffic regulations and the protection of school perimeters.
In addition, the channels of the Voluntary Disarmament program were broadcast
through the 0800-Senade1 line.
On the other hand, in the state of Barinas, with the purpose of mitigating violence
in classrooms, the institution held the workshop “Promoting
Safe Environments: Bullying” at the Nelson Sánchez National School,
Barinas municipality, providing 3rd grade students with key tools to identify and prevent 'bullying'.
In the state of Trujillo, the conference “My Life Project”
was held
at the Juan Bautista Carrillo
Guerra School, Trujillo municipality. This
activity empowered 19 5th grade students, linking dynamics of personal
development with the promotion of peaceful coexistence and mutual respect.
Under the premises of “Weapons are not a game” and “Promoting
safe environments”, the team of social preventive workers approached the 3rd and 4th
grade students of the “Ramona Figueredo” Elementary School in the municipality of Biruaca.
The activity focused on discouraging the use of toys and
video games that simulate firearms.
Instead, traditional and dynamic group games
such as the hot potato and the giant dwarf were rescued, which promote empathy, harmonious recreation and healthy coexistence.
Also, in a strategic alliance with the Executive
Directorate of the Judiciary (DEM) and the Judiciary, SENADES
Mérida organized the pedagogical forum
“War Video Games: Consequences, Prevention and the Route to
Safe Environments” in the spaces of the Rectory.
This meeting served to examine, from a technical-legal and
psychological approach, how prolonged consumption of violent digital content can
normalize aggressive behaviors and affect the mental health of minors,
providing parents and educators with critical tools to counteract these risks.
With this multidisciplinary deployment, SENADES confirms its unwavering mission to work early with the generation of relief, providing the necessary tools for young people to face the future with determination, in communities free of armed violence and oriented to collective well-being.
