Simon Bolivar School Ship arrives in Santiago de Cuba to carry the message of the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace

The “Ambassador Without Borders” has the mission of reaffirming the Venezuelan identity and the vision of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace

Under the slogan “Seas of Union for the Dream of Bolivar”, the Simón Bolívar School Ship (BE-11), the “Ambassador Without Borders”, arrived at the “Rolando Roca Pacheco” Cruise Ship in the International Port of Santiago de Cuba, on the morning of this Thursday, June 4, as part of its 36th Foreign Education Cruise and with the mission of strengthening the historic ties of unity and solidarity existing between the peoples of Cuba and Venezuela, and carrying the message of identity and sovereignty Venezuelan inspired by Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace. The ship's commander, CN. Carlos José D' Suze, and his crew, were greeted by the head of the Military Region of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR), GB. Luis Prieto Lazo; Governor Manuel Falcón Hernández and the first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in the province of Santiago, Beatriz Johnson Urrutia; accompanied by Ambassador Orlando Maneiro Gaspar, Consul General Vivian Alvarado and other Venezuelan Diplomatic Mission officials accredited to the island, as well as by Venezuelan residents present in eastern Cuba. On this occasion, as part of his journey through the Caribbean, the “Ambassador Without Borders” has the mission of reaffirming the Venezuelan identity and the vision of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace, for which he has 216 crew members, including 120 cadets in training both from the Bolivarian Navy and from the academies of the Bolivarian Military University, who will be on the island for five days, sharing with the people of Cuba and exchanging knowledge about national identity and culture. During their stay in Santiago de Cuba, the crew of the Bolivarian Navy's Flagship Training Ship will carry out an extensive agenda that includes: a visit to the headquarters of the Government of the Province of Cuba; the placement of a floral offering to the national hero and Apostle of Cuba, José Martí, in the “Santa Ifiginea” Mausoleum, where the remains of Commander Fidel Castro Ruz are also buried, as well as visits to the “Cuartel Moncada” Museum and the “Antonio Maceo” Revolution Square. As part of the cultural exchange that it carries with it on its tour of the Caribbean, the BE-11 will receive on its decks the people of Santiago, during their stay in the province, to whom the invitation has been extended to learn about the Venezuelan historical heritage aboard the “Ambassador Without Borders”.
