Since 2017! MP has made 68,000 charges for crimes committed against women

The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, reported at a press conference that from 2017 to 2025 the Public Ministry (MP) has made 68,000 charges for crimes committed against women.
In this regard, he explained that these charges have resulted in effective convictions for 7,213 people, while highlighting this action, which represents “the commitment of the Public Ministry in the fight against this social scourge.”
On the other hand, he reiterated the institution's commitment to serving and protecting communities, especially in the context of violence against women.
The statements of the person responsible for the criminal action were given during a day of the “MP Go to Your Community”, in which 400 people were treated, “resulting in 41 complaints of a criminal nature and 223 guidance provided”.
