12,233 requests to access the benefit of the Amnesty Law for Democratic Coexistence have so far been received by the Special Monitoring Commission, said its president, Deputy Jorge Arreaza, through his account in X.

Arreaza specified that 7,654 people have been granted full freedom, of whom 247 were deprived of their liberty and 7,407 had precautionary measures at large. He noted that the process is progressing according to the established schedule and with the coordinated participation of the Citizens' Power and the Judiciary.

Arreaza has reiterated on several occasions that the legal deadline for a judicial response is 15 days from the submission of the request.

The Special Commission will continue to publish regular balance sheets on the application of the Amnesty for Democratic Coexistence Act.
