The Special Commission for the Promotion of Consultation of the Amnesty Bill for Democratic Coexistence, this Monday, February 9, held a large meeting in the state of Zulia to discuss proposals and receive contributions from various sectors of the entity.

The activity, which seeks to consolidate the national dialogue, involved the participation of regional and municipal authorities and representatives of civil society.

The Auditorium of the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV), in the Maracaibo municipality, served as the setting for this day led by the president of the special commission, Deputy Jorge Arreaza.

The working table was also attended by parliamentarians Alfonso Campos and Benilda Puche; the governor of Zulia, Luis Caldera; the president of the Legislative Council, Magdely Valbuena, and the Ruling Judge, Joffer Chacón.

The debate included a wide representation of public authorities and social sectors, including legislators Edgar Antunez, José Sierra, Jesús Medina and Darío Verde.

In addition, the Ombudsman, Manuel Salas, and the president of the Maracaibo Municipal Council, Desirée Fernández, attended, together with members of the State security forces, university authorities and justices of the peace.

This public consultation allows us to collect technical and popular views to strengthen the legal instrument, ensuring that the regulations respond to the country's peace needs.

At the end of the meeting, Deputy Jorge Arreaza highlighted the importance of the diversity of voices that joined the day, noting that the commission is in an active process of receiving specific proposals.
