The National Public Health System (SPNS) held a Comprehensive Medical Day in the Rómulo Gallegos residential area of Catia La Mar - La Guaira, aimed at providing immediate care to more than 2,000 people who were victims of the criminal bombing of our country on January 3.

During the operation, more than twelve medical specialties were offered that allowed an exhaustive approach to patients. Attendees received consultations in General Medicine, Pediatrics, Geriatrics and Internal Medicine, as well as specialized care in critical areas such as Traumatology, Surgery and Physiatry.

In addition, according to a note from the Ministry of Health, this health effort was complemented by diagnostic imaging services, including general and obstetric ultrasound.

Prevention and social protection were fundamental axes of the day, which included deworming sessions, nutritional counseling and sexual and reproductive health programs. In addition, health personnel carried out mass screenings for high blood pressure and diabetes mellitus, focusing on the early detection of chronic pathologies that may have worsened due to the contingency situation.
