This Monday, a working group was held in which the members of the Commission for the National Consultation on Criminal Justice Reform participated, whose purpose is to make a shared diagnosis between all actors of the criminal justice system and all sectors of society.

The executive secretary of the consultation, Larry Devoe, chaired the working group, where he said that “we are proposing a broad consultation, with the conditions in place for everyone to participate. We must take this initiative promoted by the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez as our own.”

During this first meeting, the Attorney General of the Republic also reported that “we will travel the country to listen to the people and build, together, the diagnosis and the road map necessary to transform our justice system.”

Representatives of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), the Office of the Ombudsman, the Ministry of People's Power for the Prison Service, the Ministry for University Education, representatives of the Peace and Democratic Coexistence Program, deputies of the National Assembly (AN) and various human rights organizations participated in this first session.
