Between the night of this Tuesday, the 20th and the morning of Wednesday, February 21st, the concentrations of Sahara Dust will gradually decrease in our country, said meteorologist Luis Vargas.
Through his account on the social network X, using an animation based on the global prediction model GFS, Vargas detailed that he had overcome this wave, however, in the coming days, more Saharan dust could reach our borders.
“As I explained before, these episodes of Saharan dust can occasionally reach our region at any time of the year, being more noticeable during the months of June to August,” he explained.
He also pointed out that, despite the culmination of this natural phenomenon, type “B” haze will persist in the country, made up mostly of smoke from forest fires.
