State Mayor of Fisheries and Aquaculture promotes new initiatives in Ocumare de la Costa de Aragua

The General Staff for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development was installed in Ocumare de la Costa in the state of Aragua, with the objective of fully promoting the new initiatives of the said sector in the region. This activity was led by the Minister of Popular Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture, Juan Carlos Loyo.
“Six big songs have come out that we can announce quickly. The first of these, motor policy for fishermen. Initiative, which was born in Aragua and seeks to provide modern equipment to fishing people in various regions of the country, with a special funding scheme approved by President Maduro,” said Loyo, according to a press release from the ministerial portfolio.
The event was attended by thirteen councils of the popular power of fishing and aquaculture, the Socialist Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture (INSOPESCA), the Corporation for Fisheries and Aquaculture Services of Venezuela, S.A. (CORPESCA) and the mayor of the town, Wilmer Leal, who will organize and focus on working on six strategic points over the next six months, with the active participation of fishing workers.
As a second topic, the minister stressed that the fishing economy, through which the COMPA brand, owned by fishermen, will be promoted, will make it possible to add value to their products.
