Since this Wednesday, the students of the Libertador Bolivarian High School, in the city of Mérida, have a Bolivarian Center for Informatics and Telematics (CBIT), said the tutor responsible for this room, Odelis Sánchez.
According to a press release, he also explained that this new space becomes a fundamental pedagogical tool for consolidating future education, directly benefiting more than 800 students, as well as teaching, administrative, labor and the community in general, guaranteeing comprehensive access to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).
During the opening ceremony, Sánchez held a pedagogical demonstration focused on Creative Robotics, with the purpose of encouraging middle school young people to be part of the Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Brigades that are being promoted in the region.
In addition, the state coordinator of the Bolivarian Foundation for Informatics and Telematics (Fundabit), Ratzel Hernández, expressed his recognition to the group of institutional tutors who, “with mysticism and vocation, massively use digital tools with a pedagogical sense.”
He added that the center has 20 computer equipment and that internet connectivity was achieved thanks to an agreement between the Ministry of Education, Fundabit, the local Government and the company Tovarsat.
