A total of 200 Araguaneyes will be planted in Yaracuy state as part of the El Araguaney, Corazón Dorado plan that began in a group of schools in the Independencia municipality, and then advanced to various community areas and spaces.
The information was provided by the mayor of that jurisdiction to the local press, José Alejandro Mujica, who reported that on the first day 21 araguaneyes were planted at the Basic School (EB) Independencia, Pablo Emilio Ávila Preschool, EB Ana Elisa López, Rafael Andrade Educational Unit and at EB Adolfo Navas Coronado.
“This project seeks more than simply to reforest; it seeks to sow awareness, sense of belonging and love for the environment in new generations,” he said.
