A hotel occupancy of 80% registered in the state of Sucre during Carnival 2026, as reported by the entity's sole tourism authority, Germil Sayago, who explained that the town of Mochima has already reached 100% occupancy.
In a publication published on the Última Noticias portal, Sayago explained that in the Sucre municipality, Cumaná alone, there are more than 1,200 beds, all of which are fully occupied.
He assured that for these Carnival festivities, an expanded program was designed in the different tourist attractions that include sports, cultural and recreational activities.
“These Carnivals 2026 promise, there is a lot of activity. In the 15 municipalities they have activities in the communities, in the avenues with parades there are activities carried out on the beaches,” said Sayago.
He also mentioned that a total of 27 tourist information points were activated throughout this region of eastern Venezuela in order to promote the entity's potential.
In this regard, he specified that the state also has 120 beaches that are suitable for the enjoyment and healthy recreation of its own and seasonal workers.
He argued that those who decide to choose the Sucrense entity as their destination in this high season will enjoy not only troupe parades, but also its tourist attractions and gastronomy.
“Sucre has everything and we are pleased with the receptivity. Our service providers are already receiving all those vacationers who have come to enjoy our beaches, the cuisine of our Carúpano Carnival, we have security, it has been quite a deployment to guarantee peace and protection for all people,” he said.
