Surgical Plan treated general surgery patients in Apure

More than 20 patients, recruited through the 1×10 Good Governance platform, underwent surgery in the area of general surgery during the second day of the Surgical Plan aimed at guaranteeing free, timely and high-quality medical care to the inhabitants of the Páez municipality of the state of Apure.
According to a press release, during the surgical day, different procedures were performed, such as prostatectomies, as well as the removal of lipomas and the cure of umbilical hernias.
The National Surgical Plan began its functions in 2017 on instructions from the National Executive and is implemented through the Ministry of Popular Power for Health (MPPS), with the purpose of guaranteeing free and high-quality medical interventions to the population.
