In view of the second National Popular Consultation of 2026, 388 voting centers will be set up in the state of Táchira and the activation of community assemblies in the entity's 236 communal circuits.

During the application phase, which will take place between June 6 and 12, communities will define projects aimed at areas such as health, public services, infrastructure and roads, which will be eligible for funding of up to 10 thousand dollars per initiative, according to a note in Última Noticias.

In this regard, the governor of the entity, Freddy Bernal, urged citizens to submit proposals adjusted to the established amount and explained that those projects that require higher investment can be promoted progressively through future popular consultations.

As an example of the results obtained through this mechanism, he mentioned the purchase of an ambulance in the Pan-American municipality and the purchase of a backhoe by the La Florida commune, in the municipality of Cárdenas, equipment that benefits hundreds of families in the area.

Bernal also reported the delivery of 17 communal battle rooms equipped with technological tools to strengthen the monitoring and control of projects, while highlighting the execution of community works and programs through the direct transfer of resources to People's Power organizations.
