Taekwondo player Yohandri Granado was crowned at the Spanish Open

Venezuelan taekwondo player Yohandri Granado was crowned in the -63 kg category at the Spanish Open held in the city of La Nucía.

Granado defeated five rivals in his category, before reaching the final where he dominated German Emre Cavusman in two partial rounds of 12-7 (R1) and 15-12 (R2).

“After a long term of my participation in the Paris Olympic Games, I am once again competing with the gold medal at the Spanish Open,” said Granado, press release from the Ministry of Sport.

He also said he was very optimistic and looks forward to the next Open to “achieve more victories”.

The Venezuelan was also accompanied on the podium by the Italians Christian Santinelli and Ludovico Lurla ro, who won bronze
