The Ministry of Popular Power for University Education and authorities from the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), agreed to establish a schedule of technical meetings, in order to reach specific consensus and agreements, so that the university receives funds for funding from the Council for Scientific and Humanistic Development.
This meeting was attended by the Minister of Food, Carlos Leal Tellería; the Secretary General of Government of the Mayor's Office of Caracas, Jorge Cordero; the rector of the UCV, Víctor Rago; the president of the Andrés Bello Fund Foundation, Vilma Rondón and other members of the board of directors of that foundation.
This decision was taken during the installation of a working table on the UCV rental area at the headquarters of the Ministry for University Education, where it was established that the administration of these economic resources will be carried out with total transparency by university authorities.
The plan seeks to ensure increased resources for research, academic activities and the well-being of university communities.
“This Ministry will continue to facilitate, through dialogue and goodwill, concrete actions to increase resources for research,” said the governing body of higher education on his account on the social network Instagram.
They also reaffirmed that they will keep the spaces open for the meeting and consultation of the parties involved.
