This Friday, Flydubai, Emirates' low-cost airline, became the first international to land at Tehran's Imam Khomeini International Airport after a flight suspension of almost three weeks.
Flight FZ1930 took off from Dubai International Airport, the airline's headquarters. The passenger service was carried out in full
compliance with safety protocols. Iranian
authorities described the first international flight to the Iranian capital as a
sign of the restoration of stability in the region.
As you may recall, Iran
closed its airspace on June 13, when Israel launched a
military operation against the Islamic nation. Following a ceasefire agreement
between the warring parties, Iranian authorities allowed international
airlines to fly over some areas of the country again.
