More than 500 young people from 17 public and private universities across the country are meeting starting this Monday, and until next Wednesday, at the Antonio José de Sucre International School of Youth Leadership, on the occasion of the 1st Congress of Students of Legal Sciences. The event seeks to consolidate contributions to the Judicial Revolution instructed by the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez, on January 30, for the construction of “a new model of justice that addresses the challenges of the system such as access to justice, judicial delay, judicial corruption”, among other aspects. The opening was given by the rector of the institution, Héctor Rodríguez, who called for taking advantage of this space to debate and make contributions to the construction of a new model of justice that is truly reliable, balanced and that does not criminalize poverty. “It is necessary that when a Venezuelan, a Venezuelan, goes to the justice system, they feel that they are really going to find justice. There is a great cultural battle that involves reviewing law schools, reflecting sincerely on the justice system and changing what needs to be changed,” he said. According to a press release, among the speakers at this congress, professors and legal professionals stand out, and a set of practical exercises guided by teachers and staff of the Public Ministry was scheduled.
