The 2024-2025 Cocoa Harvest Plan began in Barlovento

This Sunday, the 2024-2025 cocoa harvest began, in the Caucagua parish, at the semi-industrial Cacao Oderi “Guillermo Ribas” plant, the Ministry of Agriculture reported in a press release.

In this regard, in the above-mentioned text, it was noted that an assembly held in the aforementioned town empowered cacao growers with the delivery of seedlings, production kits and agricultural certificates that guarantee the harvest of this important sector, and benefit more than 350 producers.

The event was attended by our minister, G/D Menry Fernández Pereira, who led the activity, the Governor of Miranda State, Elio Serrano, the president of the Venezuelan Socialist Cocoa Corporation, Keila Martorelli, as well as the mayors of the Barlovento axis, deputies and representatives of the sector in the area to comply with the guidelines of President Nicolás Maduro.

It is important to highlight that the National Executive is characterizing the volume of hectares harvested in each of the municipalities that make up the Barlovento axis, prioritizing support through the portfolio that executes the action and production policy.
