A technical team from the Ministry of Habitat and Housing carried out a day of supervision on the Old Caracas-La Guaira Highway after the earthquake of June 24, covering the Blandín, La Chapa and Montañita sectors.

During the deployment, the specialists focused their work on three lines of action, first through the structural evaluation of houses and buildings to determine the real state of each housing unit.

They then advanced with terrain analysis to measure soil stability and specify the conditions of the immediate environment.

Finally, they completed a geological diagnosis aimed at identifying potential risks in the affected areas.

The collection of this information will make it possible to prepare technical reports that will serve as a basis for activating mitigation plans and defining actions aimed at ensuring housing safety for families in the road corridor.
